The same family, five generations, one Georgian home
Carlingford House has been in the same family for five generations and around 150 years, and it still feels like a home rather than a hotel.
We're currently providing room only, so you're free to explore the village's pubs and restaurants at your own pace, then come home to a fire in the hall and a good book in the reading room. Every room is double-bedded and en-suite, with fibre broadband, a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee, and your own temperature control.
Private Parking
Ample off-street parking on site. Pull in and forget about the car until it's time to go home.
One Minute Walk
The village centre, and the ruins of the old Dominican Friary, are right on the doorstep.

Next Door to the Friary
Carlingford Abbey was founded around 1305 by Richard Óg de Burgh, 2nd Earl of Ulster, for the Dominican Order, and dedicated to Saint Malachy. Defensive towers and battlements added in the 15th century gave the church its fortress-like look, and the ruined nave, chancel and bell-tower still stand a short walk from our door — now a National Monument in the care of the OPW.
